Rory Gallagher

Photos from the Rory Gallagher Tribute Night.  19 May 2001,  Dukinfield, England

Many thanks to Barry Barnes for putting yet another great tribute night together! :-)

Who else could this great Strat have belonged to?  Only Rory!  It's just so sad to see this guitar in a case, and not in Rory's hands on stage where it belongs.

Rory's Telecaster

Rory's Telecaster.  The caption on the display
said that this guitar was used to record
"Souped Up Ford"

Those of us lucky enough to have seen Rory
in the early days will immediately recognise
this guitar.  It can also be seen on the
Irish Tour '74 video.

Sorry to be a bit self-indulgent with these following pics, but you know .......

Here I am with Donal Galllagher - Rory's Brother and Manager who kindly agreed to bring and display Rory's guitars to the tribute night

Simon gets the prize :-)

And the winner of the raffle was ...... SIMON RAYNER! :-)

The prize was a Fender harmonica case, a complete
set of Rory CDs, two original tour t-shirts, some
black & white photographs and a neckerchief once
onwed by Rory.

Simon already owned all the CDs, so kindly gave them
up as a second raffle for the night.  Well done!
